Abstract

Rebecca Burton and Annie Gibson bring together playwrights, publishers, and academics to discuss Canadian Theatre Review in relation to its role in and relationship to play publication in Canada. The abridged roundtable features Taiwo Afolabi, Marie Barlizo, Leah-Simone Bowen, Jill Carter, Annie Gibson, Alan Filewod, and Kevin Williams, moderated by Rebecca Burton and edited by Rebecca Burton and Annie Gibson.

Author Biographies

Rebecca Burton, Playwrights Guild of Canada

Rebecca Burton (she/her) is the Membership and Contracts Manager, as well as the Women’s Caucus Liaison, at the Playwrights Guild of Canada. She also works as an editor, educator, researcher, and occasional theatre practitioner.

Annie Gibson, Playwrights Canada Press

Annie Gibson is the current publisher at Playwrights Canada Press. In addition to publishing plays, she loves baseball and baking.
