It’s Not You, but It’s Not Me Either

Abstract

I haven’t had a Facebook profile since the first phlegmy coughs of the COVID-19 pandemic, but if I still did, my relationship status with CTR would read “It’s Complicated.” I hadn’t really thought about it for many years. There are some things in it with my name on it, but I honestly can’t tell you which things and when. However, after reading the roundtable piece reflecting on CTR’s history of publishing play scripts, I feel compelled to share some of my thoughts on it.

Author Biography

Kenneth T. Williams, University of Alberta

Kenneth T. Williams’ professional path is a “guidance counselor’s nightmare.” He’s been a soldier, rock musician, journalist, treaty land claims researcher, and door-to-door encyclopedia salesman. He’s also written a lot of plays that have had many productions. He lives in Edmonton with his partner, Dr. Melissa Stoops, and is a member of the George Gordon First Nation in the Treaty 4 territory.
