In this piece, Kelsey Blair responds to Kim Solga's article, "A Year in the Life: Canadian Theatre Review, 1988." Blair uses Diana Taylor's is/as distinction to think beyond performance and into the publishing process surrounding the 1988 issues.

Author Biography

Kelsey Blair, University of the Fraser Valley

Kelsey Blair is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication at the University of the Fraser Valley. Her areas of research interest include theatre, sport, and performance studies; critical theory; and theatre audience studies. She is also a director on several not-for-profit boards, a children’s book author, and a Director with the Centre for Spectatorship and Audience Research.
